RainFurrest and my loss

So I was just startling to enjoy RainFurrest had just seen the opening ceremony and was sitting down at a panel when I got a call from my dad, my step mom has just passed away and he needs me to come home right away. With the the help of a person I was sharing a room with I got my car repacked and, after the traffic on I-90 let up, I am heading home. Right now I am about a quarter of the way home.

I got along really well with her. She had been fitting stage 4 cancer and finally died of a brain aneurysm after being transporter to rehab clinic where we thought she was beginning to recover. However she has been really weak lately with all the radiation therapy. So she has been the hospital for some time.

Yea, there where so many people I wanted to see and so many room parties I wanted to attend but family was really important for me to be home for my dad.

Well everything turned out alright. Lots of people showed up (a whole lot people) I posted a video I recorded off my step-mom's band from last falls Folklife festival here in Spokane (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CA84tynp8Yg) she is guitar player on right side of the video. The name of the band was When Pigs Fly.

She's got a great voice! :D In fact, they're all really great musicians. I'm not much of a fan of folk and bluegrass normally, but so far I enjoy it :3
