It sickens me to ask this of all of you, but, I need help.
My student grant was delayed once again, I was meant to have it at the start of this month, roughly, but it's fallen behind schedule. Again.
As it stands, I... won't have enough to make this month's rent. I'm not sure when it will come in, so even next month would be dicey.
If I could, I would open emergency commission slots to cover costs, but, and this sickens me, I can't. I've no equipment to do so with. You may remember that my tablet gave up the ghost a few weeks ago, and I'm still waiting for a replacement to be delivered. And sadly, with my situation, it's my only source of income. For those of you that'd call foul, since I'm working this year, my employers took me on an unpaid placement, so there'll be nothing coming from them, sadly.
It pains me to ask this of you, but I can't afford not to...
If you could spare something, anything, I would be immensely appreciative. You have no idea.
And, of course, I would return the favour in some shape or form when I'm able to do so, but right now, my hands are tied.

I'm sorry you're having such a rough time. Perhaps you can open for commissions with the understanding that they will not be completed for a long while. As long as your commissioners understand at the beginning that they will not be completed quickly, I don't think they'd have a problem with paying you in advance. Perhaps this would work for you?
And really the only thing that's scuppered me is that my tablet's gone. It'd have been a whole different story had it still been in a working state.
