Job search. Yes, for real. Finally.

Okay, those of you who know me pretty well, know that I rarely ask for help. I still have my job at the casino, but I absolutely HATE it. I'm not desperate to take just ANY job, but don't have a degree to let me be TOO choosy. I'm not limited to any particular field, but it'd most likely have to be entry-level, or close to it. I've got PLENTY of customer service experience, mostly at the retail end, but some other stuff. I'm VERY comfortable working with electronics, but I'm open to MOST anything, at this point.
I'm not looking for offers here (I know better, but won't ignore serious ones). I'm looking for leads, plain and simple. I need something south of Oklahoma City (Blanchard/Newcastle/Norman/parts of Moore). And I need to make $10/hr, 34 or more hours per week. I'd like something where I could start after Oklacon, (like Nov. 1) or somewhere that they'd work around it.
If you've seen something posted in these areas, or if you have a (serious) suggestion, or even know someone to ask, please let me know. Thanks, everyone!

And after looking at a map, I'd also consider something in Chickasha, Purcell, or Lindsay, as well.

You'll probably shoot this down since you worked at one for so long, but consider 7/11s. They pay well above minimum wage, (Varies with experience) and as you advance up they pay incredibly good. They have their interview office over off McArthur Blvd South of I-40, and usually see you within 20-60 minutes, depending how busy and how many others are waiting.

Actually, I worked at a Circle K, but I DID apply (and interview) at 7-eleven. I asked about the best way of following up on the interview, and they said that I didn't need to. They basically said that they'd either call me or they wouldn't. That said, I've actually thought about giving them another shot, anyway. (It's probably been close to three years since I applied there, and they let you reapply after only one year.)

Yeah, they decide the day you go in whether or not to then give you the 2nd interview and go on with possible hiring processes. You definitely should try again. You've got the experience, and it's good pay, far better than any other gas station/convenience store in the area. Helps that they're apparently Japanese owned.

Good lucky finding something entry level that pays 10 and hour.. That is a rare find. I have a college degree and put in over 100 applications only to get hired on to walmart at 7 bucks and hour. Go me.. BUT for what it is worth, the cashiers at Aldi's if you can get the job, pay $12.50 starting out and you even get to sit in a chair while you check groceries.. just a thought

Yeah, "entry-level" doesn't necessarily equate to "minimum wage". It just means you don't have to have a degree/cert, or several years of experience, and it's not (typically) a supervisory role..
