To Post or Not to Post

Kyoo no tema wa kore desu....
Taking a break from doodling for the inevitable ego-scan here.
Speaking of ego, I'd like opinions on something. I have several pencil doodles done over the years during rpg sessions. A couple I've inked over, to make some sense out of all the pencil lines more than anything else. They were more or less just meant to highlight an in-joke, or a particularly funny in-game moment. Since they were mostly done in haste & mostly rough sketches, I'm not sure if I should post them here or not.
Personally I don't mind if everyone sees my rough work. They represent good times & people I care about, evoking fond memories, so I admit I'm biased. ^_^ But, it's been pointed out to me that if I'm after submissions I probably shouldn't let the rough stuff represent my abilities.
What do y'all think?

Also, honestly, I'd just be curious to see your imagination at work. ^_^
Worst case scenario, you can always post them in your "scraps" section (there's a checkmark box on the last page where you finalize a submission, which puts it in a seperate gallery and doesn't auto-distribute it to your watchers or the breif exposure of the front page), then journal-ize about them so we know to look.
