Hello, FBA Fans!
I owe everyone a massive thank you for what was THE BEST FBA DRAFT EVER! Seriously, this one was special. We had a huge crowd, ALL of the General Managers were present and representing, we didn't have to skip any picks or go chasing GMs... the whole process went smoothly and beautifully, and it's all because everyone out there worked so hard to make it happen! Thank you everyone!!
I do want to make some very special thanks to people, however. :)
First, a big round of applause for
oldschoolskunk who provided some of the night's outstanding music, along with our usual beats from 
baddwill. Thanks both of you guys for sharing your talents with the FBA!
A massive thank you to

foxenawolf who rushed in the last days leading up to the draft to provide us with the wonderful artwork featured in the night's graphics!
A great big thanks to
steviemaxwell who tracked the picks live during the draft, providing a draft board and keeping the night organized-- as well as disorganized with all of his last second trades!! XD
And finally a big thanks and also a heart-felt congratulations to
pac, the winner of the 2013 FBA Contributor's Award. It's impossible to say just how much Pac has done for the FBA this last season. The massive amount of artwork she donated to the project is huge enough, but beyond that, just being a promoter for what we do, for always talking up the FBA to the rest of the fandom, for getting the word out about this project of ours is all work I deeply appreciate. And finally, the massive creative contribution she's made, from some of the most imaginative and unique players in the league, to fleshing out the FBA off the court with agents and representatives, to writing some of our most interesting stories to add texture to the FBA Universe-- there's so much more I could talk about. In the end, it made it easy to pick her as being this year's winner of the FBA Contributor's Award. Thank you, Pac, for everything you've done.

As for Livestream-- it looks bad. :( There was a major hiccup toward the end of the draft. I'm not clear on what happened, but my internet provider apparently gave out. All at once, I had no internet access on any of my machines. I checked my DSL modem, it was looking good, and internet was back. So just a little burp, but enough of one that I guess the recording got messed up.
I'm going to check my computer today-- I believe Livestream records locally as well as on the internet, so if I can find the recording on my laptop, I'll see about posting it. Cross your pawfingers!

Now that New, Palma, Bentham, Stanley, Wells and a bunch of others have slipped into restricted free agency and can only get minimum contracts-- if they get any at all-- I'm going to encourage agents to be more willing to allow their players to retire from the FBA.
Yes, Doug Bentham will retire. I'm going to have to spend a bit of time on this list to see which players are mine, and I'll make official retirement announcements soon.

I hope that our newest contributors will look toward everything you've done for the FBA as inspiration for what they could do, that this is a world filled with opportunities to create and grow and develop, as long as you're willing to collaborate. You've shown everyone here how to do it, which is why your contribution doesn't stop with your own efforts, but by making everyone else a better contributor as well.
My brief experience with the FBA has being an enormous learning experience. Firstly, I had to overtake the language barrier, because as each and everyone of you probably know by now I'm not a mother-tongue English speaker. Then I helped in updating the FBA Wiki, in what was effectively for me a crash course in Wiki editing. I interacted with other contributors on the wiki chat, and was deeply touched by the incredible warmth and friendliness with which most users would contact me even if I was a perfect stranger for most of them, as well as the way I would see a couple of "Hey Q!" each and every time I opened the chat, even if it was by mistake.
I feel this is the best occasion to thank each and every one of you for being a part of one of the most incredible communities in the whole furry fandom. I'd like to add myself to the praise people are sending to
