Place to get Independent (American) news?

Is there any place to find news that is free of the Republican and Democrat bickering? I'm tired of hearing people place the blame on the other. It's both parties fault for this shutdown. Can anyone help me out?

Funnily enough, you might have to look outside of the US. Personally I prefer the BBC, but my cousin likes the English-speaking branch of Al Jazeera.
