Surprised you didn't get 800 responses to this... well... I'd only been to 1, basically I'd say from 10am till 9-10pm is when most stuff goes on, of course there is later-night stuff for dancers, or perhaps things put on by *cough*adult*cough* artists. How crowded... I'm sure that varies between what one you go to; one I went to was honestly as crowded as I would want, moreso would be just way too many people, at least.. considering the size of the hotel/venue. I'm sure all so, but I know the one I was at, badges were required, which you are given at the beginning of the thing. People often have their own artist-made type ones with their character/name, but the one they give you is the one you must always have. Anytime you go into room/section of the venue, they check to make sure you have a badge. Otherwise, just any Joe Blo person could walk into the hotel and up into the artist area or dance room, etc.

So yea... it isn't too unlike a normal business or comic type convention as far as the rules and regulations go... all that fine print legal stuff. It's not as if they own the whole hotel and have the entirety of the place reserved, so "normal people" are still around, you see them walking the hotel, down at the bar, etc., although I'll say where I was, 95% of the hotel was taken up by folks there for the con.

Thanks for the reply. Yea, I figured it was something like that for the badges. I just didn't know they would give you one there. I thought you had to have your own. This ones at stone castle in Branson. I forget the name right now, though.

Yea, they have to have something they give out, so there is less chance of people being able to try to be bums and attend the con for free.

I've not been to Branson myself, only that weird little stickdown part of MO where I-55 and 155 are. It'd be a cool place to see, I'm sure.

I guess so. Attending for free wouldn't help the con pay for anything, obviously, but they wouldn't be able to turn any profit if people got in for free.

Branson is a real nice place, really. Big tourist attraction. Love going there ^v-v^
