Considering Producing Image Sets for Sale

So i’m thinking about producing various image sets as i am currently better with singular images than i am with comic pages. My thinking is to make 1 pic with alternates a month over the course of a year, leading to 12-24 images give or take then selling the set. It’s a pretty common practice and I’m wondering if it will suit me.
Thing is I have so many ideas and concepts and only so many hours in a day and too little of what i want to have done has gotten where I wanted it. So i’m thinking focusing on one thing regularly should get it all worked out. The hope also is that it will draw more attention and better results to my OCs and all that happy fun stuff.
I’ll probably end up putting a poll out to gauge my watchers opinions soon. If this works out well i’d like to think it’d finally get me to the point where i can start producing some art books and prints the way i always wanted to.
The particulars of hosting and ripping and all that jazz is not lost on me. Just brainstorming right now.
I imagine i’ll end up testing this out with one of my OCs, probably BoVyne or the Drowess. But i’ll put it out there to my watchers and see what happens.

I think image sets are nice and all, but it really takes a dedicated fanbase to make this work and worth your time. Since, let's face it, as much as you enjoy your profession, you want to see some results.
Everybody does the dojin thing because it comes with a higher level of built in popularity. And that's fine but I'd prefer to build more on my own merits, for better or worse, pass or fail.
THere are a few tricks i can do to build the popularity up over time, but none of them are guaranteed to get the results i'd like on their own.
I would LIKE to think that right now my priority is going to be much more on finishing the projects clogging up my poor brain rather than filling up my po widdle wawwet.
And hell, if you need a popularity boost, we'll push people into your direction. We'll make them love you!
That's how you up your numbers, you just gotta get better ^^
Errr... whatever! To make things short: You will improve if you are working for it. Just let us be part of it, let us take a step along side you whenever you feel you can show us. :)
I'm gonna see what comes from these journals for a little while then produce a Poll for people to go and vote on what i have and make suggestions.
Once i get started with it it'll turn into regular lifestreams so people can watch the set as it's being produced.
Streaming has done a lot of good for a lot of folks so i'm anticipating that that will remain true.
And naturally someone will buy it just to turn around and post it for free elsewhere to stop me from getting paid.
I'm sure i would price it fairly and appropriately. Whether anyone else agrees is another story.
BUT that's something to figure out later.
