I'm just as disappointed as you. And a little ashamed, since I told ALL my friends about it and many of them were all like "yeah I'll go see it"... and yeah... their reaction was exactly like yours. Some even asked me "are you sure you got the right day?".

Wikipedia said that the moon would have been "perceptibly dimmer"... yeah perceptibly my ass :(

Lesson learned: penumbral eclipses are not worth it :|

well I do remember seeing some where it was noticeable.
since the exact position of the earth and moon are extremely precisely known, Im surprised the level of "shadowing" cant be estimated beforehand, at least I didnt find any web article about that eclipse telling us a range of % of the effect expected, there is something wrong with people writing all these article, either they know shit and just copy some other article or they dont know enough about the subject and should avoid writing about it at all........
