i always get annoyed when i see people who do anthro art and submit it to this website say "i'm not a furry" or "i'm not part of the fandom." if you're on this site, you're part of the fandom. if you draw anthro characters, you are part of the fandom. saying you're not a furry while drawing furry art is defining what it means to be furry in a really narrow way.
stupid.
stupid stupid shit.
stupid.
stupid stupid shit.
I am on this site because I enjoy using animals mixed with people in symbolism.
I am on this site to make money too.
I am not "a furry", please, I am an anthro artist. I don't like animals. At all!
But I enjoy drawing them.
I think it is up to each individual to decide whether they want to be
classified for every one of their actions.
that some have such a black and white view of people.
Sorry, I'll be quiet now.. aaa I hate arguing. Should have kept my mouth shut.
However, let it be known that I do disagree with the example of the rapist and emptyset's comment.
A better example would be for a man who is attracted to other men and has sex with them denying that he is gay or what he is doing is gay.
On the other hand, there really isn't a firm objective definition of what precisely a furry is. The closest you can get to such a definition is to find whatever quality or qualities all self-identified furries have in common that also distinguishes them from the population at large and other subgroups. In this case that seems to be some basic interest or fascination with anthropomorphic animals.
