Could always do both: she concocts a fantasy world via dreams to confuse and intimidate Malachi, and in said dream, she envisions herself as an unstoppable, musclebound warrior princess. With all the trickery and raw power at her command, she can easily subdue him now, and she has sexy sweaty wrestling with him and throws him around... So it's very distressing when he pins her and he starts growing aroused. She's basically the god of this dream world. This shouldn't be happening! ;)

I don't see at all why they have to be mutually exclusive. Why not both? Variety should keep her approach interesting and allow her to keep up the pressure at all times while not being an anti-climactic pushover when any actual confrontation happens.

When any proper paladin/templar type comes after an evil-doer they damn well know it. They're made fully aware of why the hammer is dropping on them as an example to others and if she's doing this should be able to back it up.
