Overclocking CPU?
Been overclocking mine, I know what I'm doing for the most part, but when I overclocked my 2.66 GHz intel core 2 duo to 3.2 GHz, the core voltage went from 1.35V to 1.402V (when all the info I've read says you don't need to change the voltage). Now my bios menu has Core Voltage control set to auto and im preetty sure thats whats doing it. But higher voltage can lead to bad things. So I was wondering if anyone with overclocking experience knows what a safe and stable core voltage is and what I should avoid.
FA+

Lithography 65 nm
Max TDP 65 W
VID Voltage Range 0.8500V-1.5V
You're perfect fine and within limits. Just ensure proper cooling and you aren't running too hot of course.
TCASE 72°C
"Case Temperature is the maximum temperature allowed at the processor Integrated Heat Spreader (IHS)." Preferably below 70c
the higher voltages are usually needed to prevent errors from happening..since all signals will be going faster due to the overclock, it needs the extra voltage to make them "clearer"
