Pokemon X Friend Code! Plus other possibly TMI-y medistuff

5043-2568-1320, character name Rika
Open Invitation!
Edit: Just found out my Safari details. Water-type, with Octillery, Azumarill, and Gyarados (!).
If you just want to be Pokefriends, you can stop here. I won't hold it against you. :)
Wow, ten months since my last journal ... I really do have no sense of the passage of time. Anyway, the most 'interesting' event of the last few months was my fistula (dialysis access) abruptly giving out on me, requiring an emergency surgery for a catheter in my chest. More recently, I had an artificial graft put in my arm, which I'm still waiting on to become useable. I go for a checkup on Halloween (trick or treat ...) to see how it's progressing.
I have determined that I am absolutely the worst person in the world to get kidney disease.
1. My veins and arteries are crap; too narrow, and except for the ones I'd been using for a few years (and that was BARELY eligible), I have zero applicable blood vessels.
2. My peritoneal membrane is insufficient for home dialysis; it doesn't filter my blood well enough.
3. Five years of getting stuck with needles and they STILL scare the shit out of me. I still can't watch.
4. I have keloidal scarring; the scar tissue gets very thick and bulges, making the areas I need to be stuck as tough as shoe leather, which makes it hard to insert needles, and the scarring tends to be tender, so it hurts worse.
