My experience with Beyond: Two Souls was an interesting one.

I rented it from Redbox a couple days ago, and played it nearly nonstop. I only stopped once because I had to go to bed and work the next day.
While there is still a lot in it that I want to do (and I may either own or rent it sometime in the future just to do those things), the stuff I did still made my experience nice. I couldn't put it down for a second until I had to because I was so enthralled on how the story would play out, and where the twists would lead to next.
The game is less like a game and more like an interactive television series (the way the story unfolded seemed too much like a serial than a movie) like Heavy Rain (which I should get eventually), and honestly I think that works more. The story in all its anachronistic glory is given a much tighter focus, and that is the MAIN reason you'd want to play this game.
If story is what you're after, then you should really give Beyond: Two Souls a try. It's not the most gameplay heavy, but it should hopefully keep you on the edge of your seat.
