■■■■■ First off, I'd like to say.....
Pokemon X/Y is the WORST excuse for a bad game ever.
Gamefreak, if you wanted to make a bad game, why didn't you just try? I mean for fucks sake. It's not that hard. They're all over the place now. All you have to do it look in any corner of the gaming industry and you'll find even an ounce of inspiration.
I mean, I've put in over 11 hours into the game already and I -just- got to the first town with a gym in it. It took me so long because of all these damn features that you decided were a good idea to add on. Every few steps I have to pull up this fucking Pokemon Amie thing.
And the game is online! All - the - time! This means literally anyone across the world can just randomly interact with you and shit. Who's to say everyone wants that?? Why did your designers come up with this idea?
And this wonder trade thing. Holy. Fucking. Shit. Any pokemon for any pokemon? Really? You could put a bidoof in there and get a zygarde in response. I mean why the fuck would anyone want to do that?
Sigh.... Gamefreak, you've really surprised me this time. I don't know how you did it, but you've got some sort of talent for breaking the perfect continuity Pokemon had with your own style. Way to fucking go, ya nutters.
P.S. if you're gonna post a rant on this journal you better re-read it taking my wording into consideration :)

The internet option can be disabled, I've gone through the entire game without touching pokemon amie.
But I figured ranters wouldn't :'D
I like pokemon amie, but I didn't mess with it because it before beating the game because it makes the game easier than it already is =)

In all honesty I made this journal just to see if people read what I say
because, you know, I have that trouble a lot, and I get sick of repeating myself all the time

If you want challenge, you need to make it yourself
It feels like they wanted to make a Pokemon MMOPRG...and failed to make it enjoyable.
I was being completely sarcastic and I love all the features I mentioned
But... *laughs* ...there are Pokemon games I really like way better than this. I'm not a fan of X/Y...I love HeartGold/SoulSilver, the Johto remakes, the best. I still hope for the Hoenn remake someday.
You can also play with the internet off very easily, either by turning it off in game, or by turning it off on your 3ds itself, there is nothing forcing you to use the extra features, and personally I didn't find them all too disruptive to regular gameplay :P I didn't touch pokemon amie till I beat the game, beating the game for me took something like 35 hours, though I'm not sure how much of that was spent idling or sending pokemon over wonder trade or on the GTS haha As far as pokemon amie goes, I'm not sure if you know but i found out that if you take the 20 minutes or so it takes to bring a pokemon to full friendship with you, it actually makes the pokemon a ton more useful, it doesn't get 1 shot as easily, it critical strikes more, and it ignores status conditions often, which is pretty crazy, if maybe a little overpowered.
The super training extra is unreasonably useful as well as far as competative battling goes, being able to ev train your pokemon end game without having to deal with the ridiculousness that is finding specific fights for them to raise their stats.
In the end, it's really kind of still just a kids game >.> hahahaa, so I dunno, I guess I didn't play it expecting a lot of depth or intelligence hahaha, but I was happy with all of the new features, only disappointed that they took a few old features out.

In my opinion this is by far the best Pokemon game.
