I don't think it is an over reaction to leave an art site that steals art from its users and shelters animal abusers and sexual predators.

I didn't mean the action itself, I meant the very core of this person's choice of words.

There's no proof behind what Zaush did or didn't do, but this person seems really.....sure of themself

I'm not defending Zaush in any way, in fact I'm one of the people who are not happy with him being on the team. I'm just saying that people could have "complained" a little...more maturely

Huh.. Well i don't really get into the whole people who own FA aspect.
I just like how the community is so supportive around here, as long as the site works well, who really cares about who's behind it?

THe biggest thing about Weasyl is how new it is, and how it lacks some key features has and there is such a deep community already ingrained in FA.

Keeping both galleries active would be the most fair solution.
Also, you earned 500 respect points for caring so much about your fans. Many artists just went "fuck you and your site" way.

It's just drama in a nutshell, really, I just hope change will be good for FA because staying seems, as you said, the fairest solution.

I'm also on Weasyl, so I'm following you wherever you go anyhow, but I think your best bet would be to keep up both galleries, but maybe do so while stressing that you're more active on the other site. That way, you can instill a sort of transitional mindset and be able to keep connections without outright abandoning anyone.

The exodus has been large, many have set up a weasyl account to follow those who're already gone from here. I'd say stay on both, if only to post a mere link to your weasyl account as description of every picture you post.

I mean, it's not like posting on FA takes much time. Even if you're not really active any other way here.

Or maybe I'll just upload different things to different sites? People on this site seem to care about my characters and their interactions a bit more, but weasyl is still new to me so maybe I should just stick to actual pictures and single-doodle scraps.

Yeah, it's much better; plus it's tag filtering system......ugh.....it's like...........heaven.

In all fairness, having spoken with a few people about the whole drama thing that happened, leaving FA seemed a bit extreme for some people because from what i was seeing and what me and those people came to the conclusion to, it just seemed like a lot of people took the initial information at face value and assumed that Zaush should not be working on the site for his past events for something a lot of users were assuming was rather true.

From my point of view, after looking at all the information and talking to someone who actually had a chance to speak with zaush, this whole situation is rather complicated, and i'd rather stay out of it because 1. it's not really my business and 2. most users assumed he did it because of a posting from someone else, and i feel like that's not a really good reason to be assuming anything about a person.

I stayed mainly to continue supporting artists such as yourself. very view have moved galleries and some decided to be emotional and say "FUCK FA, LET IT BURN" which was extreme and i've decided not to follow those people for their negativity. Some people are still like that.

As for Weasyl, i know i've made an account there to branch out my art (i do have one problem with it because it's not perfect; managing messages is a pain in the ass), but i'm not going to force you to leave or stay. I'm just stating my opinion on how this whole thing went down.

I got a lot of heat for staying neutral thanks to those people who took it for face value, especially from Ransom who first showed me those posts and whatnot and made me quite shocked. There is no proof that he did or didn't actually do aside from what was told. What angered me (and quite a few that left) the most was the way Dragoneer handled it when it first blew up. I feel it was awfully bad both what he ended up saying and the way Zaush handling it at first going "Don't stick your dick in crazy!" and shit like that. The last thing you want to do when you have a situation like that hanging over your head is be a total asshat about it and say things like that. But that's just me IMO.

Regardless of weather or not Zaush did what he did, it doesn't affect me or anyone I know directly, so that's not my reasoning behind making a weasyl.

I made a weasyl because everyone I watched was making one, and I decided I'd check it out too; turns out I ended up preferring it 8/10 great site. But I'm not really one to abandon, either.

Which is why I made this journal... albeit, I was rather tired when I made it lol, but I think a good chunk of you have given me good inspiration for my decision.

It's your choice. I'll still follow you on weasyl anyways (because your art is awesome); i'm not here to pressure you to stay or not. Having both galleries would bring more exposure, but again, your choice.

Do what you want, man. The only person whose opinion matters most is yourself.

I mean, I'm down for seeing more of your art, and you being on this site will be cool whenever I get the topic (or balls xD) to talk to you. But if you'd be happier not being on this site, then go for weasyl.

I'm following you on both Weasyl and Here, and I do find myself liking Weasyl a lot more, however I find myself coming back here over and over because old habits die hard.

I think if people wanted to keep seeing your art, they'd maybe browse Weasyl, but I don't think there's much harm in reducing your interaction on here and increasing on weasyl. Still upload on both..

The whole Zaush situation has nothing to do with me directly, or the people I know, so it doesn't bother me.

I joined Weasyl because I wanted to take a look at the hype that others were going to.

I ended up liking it a lot, but I didn't wanna quit FA because of just that...

Though, in comparison to the admins, Weasyl is definitely the better one, because FA admins act like children most of the time. It's embarrassing and very rude to their members.

I can only hope change will be good for FA.
