I love Gold Digger, and I've been re-reading the three Gold Bricks I've managed to buy. (The Gold Bricks are the massive trade paperbacks containing 25 issues of the comic apiece.)

I haven't been able to score a Gold Brick Vol. 4, however. It's out of print, and any copies appear to have been bought out long ago. Anyone happen to know where I can still get a copy?


For those who haven't given the series a good look, it's fun. Super science, martial arts, were-cheetahs (and werewolves and werecats too) aliens, time traveling dogs and trap-strewn tombs...plus a rather ridiculous level of feminine hormones gone wild, it's a winning combination. Fred Perry's style lacks almost all of the chibi-ism that's infected recent comics, with no extreme size-changes or distortions. While the comic's first fifty issues were black and white, the comic (as far as I know) is now in all color.

The story arcs are interesting, and they often tie back to each other in a way I have to admire.
