That would have been pretty useful information!!! Especially since I only pay artists in increments. 1/3 money when you start sketch, 1/3 then you start ink, 1/3 then you begin coloring. That way if anything goes wrong I don't get ousted mah precious precious cash. Nothing against ya EP. I just like to be more flexible.

I understand your point, but I work that way due to some annoying restrictions in my Paypal account. You can send me another mail to get more info if you wish. But just to let you know, I NEVER had problems with commissioners who paid in advance. I respect my customer's money and patience.

So do you mean they'd pay even before they knew they'd get a slot? Or they'd be informed they get the slot and THEN pay in advance? I'm curious because as you could tell from my email that I'm really interested in trying to get one next time.

If someone ask for a commission, I'll inform if there's an open slot or not. If so, and the commissioner makes the deposit, immediately I give him a reserve (and I start working on his commission as well).

Some people use to ask for a reserve, and then 'disappears'. This is annoying because they're leaving an opportunity of someone else who are really decided to spend money in my work. And as said before, I never had problems with this method, nor my commissioners. I ALWAYS keep them informed about the current status of the work, sending high-res samples of each part of the process.

since I am having some trouble getting the funds togehter ( thats why I missed out on this time), is it possible to send you funds when I get them and just wait paitently for a future slot to open up?

Well, I must admit I don't feel confortable with this idea, because after every payment, I like to work on the commissions as soon as possible. That's why my standards to delivery commissions are between 1 to 3 weeks. I don't want to be swamped by several unfinished works.

where I have this policy of *give the artist as much time as they need.. i dont mind waiting weeks or even months if necessairy.. since things like life, job, family and such can pop up without realizing it at a moment's notice.

I've been extremely paitent with a lot of sweet wonderful artists; Karno, Dynotaku, Fossil, Sharue, Marc Leonhardt, and others... (just as they've been paitent with me)..

Very understandable. Have you ever had problem with people who would get the sketch, not pay, and then disappear without paying? I'm assuming if it did, it'd be before you asked for payment up front.

In any case, I'm always interested, so if there's ever an opening, I'd be very happy to take it. =B Until then, I hope all of the others you work on will turn out great!

Outside the fandom, yep, I had this problem in the past. I made a bunch of sketches, and never get paid for it because the commissioner didn't return to my contact anymore.

But if you're willing to, I can keep you in my waiting list, and then contact you when I'm ready. Just let me know. ;)

Jesus Christ, they go fast! I'll have to get a disposable credit-card and save that for when you open them up again.

I would have jumped on the idea (and I have the funds) but I have a hard time explaining things to other people. I would need to have source images and/or Poser 6 refrences ready to show the exact pose and content I would want.

However when I do get an idea that I would like you to draw, I'll be more prepared next time.
