Sorry for the rant..
I'm sick of this university. I'm sick of this town. I'm sick of this state, and I'm sick of this country.
Why the fuck would you encourage someone to apply for a job, if you aren't even going to give them a fucking phone interview.
I could understand if you were just saying oh look at this job, but when you are the head of the hiring committee you shouldn't do that.
You know my work, and you freaking trust me to take care of any problems up here when you can't get a hold of my boss.
You know I can do the job, I already am doing it over here. You also know that I'm graduating soon so I can't keep working up here.
So why the fuck would you encourage me to apply and not even call me. There couldn't have been that many more qualified people applying or I never would have been the only other person interviewed for the position you just got.
Beyond that how can the university screw up and award me too much money at the beginning of the semester. My graduation date has been on file for almost a year. How can you wait until the middle of the semester and demand most of that money back. I spent it to go to your fucking school...
I'm sick of this university's bullshit. I like the people I work with, but there is no job open up here. I graduate in December, then you can go to hell.
The town's not much better. Spend money re designing roads that no one cares about to make it prettier. Get over yourself. We are a freaking hotel city. Here because people get too tired heading somewhere else. We don't even have any really tourist attractions. Some small man made falls, and a museum that's it.
The state too it's pretty and all but the shit you pull politically makes me sick. Take your elk ranchers and shove 'em up your ass horns first. Same with your hate for anyone who wants to help the needy, or dares considering changing tax laws. Shove the hate up your ass horns first.
As for the country, I don't really give a shit. You're nothing to me. I love the people in my life not the owners of the land.
I'm glad I'm moving. I just need to make it real.
Tomorrow shit gets real. I get shit done.
In other news I get to play some online tabletop with some awesome people tonight. That should help me relax a bit.

About people not giving you calls for employment though.. Can you.. Explain it more to me. Im still searching for jobs and would probably like some tips in there.
Then you do a phone interview if they are interested in you.
Then you do an in person interview.

Well I had a friend who was part of the hiring committee. So I figured she could have gotten me an interview.
However I just found out that some other group sifted out resumes before the committee got them and pretty much took out anyone from inside the university.

I felt a lot better just posting it was enough.
I remember one person who applied for a job with the Water Board, running the drinking water dams. He was the best qualified person in the interviews and didn't get it - the others were several women who didn't know anything and a poopie man. They hired the poopie man, who didn't know anything either, and they kept having to hire people under him, at lower and lower wages, to try and solve the problem...they ended up having a major disaster later and the city didn't have drinking water for days...
I think universities get like that; I know a case where someone was stopped by the admins from taking a course unit she'd enrolled in, on some invented reason, but then she had to pay for it as if she had.
I know of a town like that! The Council spends its time with tourist non-attractions and does its best to crush the residents! And they go out of their way to stop anyone helping stray animals. They recently spent a fortune on taking out trees on one street and putting in statues that look like the ones they put up on the main riverbank, which look like rotting fish...
I know of a state like that too! The state government head is a dogmatic authitarian who flicks off ordinary people; even his wife wasn't allowed to say anything that didn't fit his view (that is, mention what had actually had happened) when they were in an interview o_o

I wish crap like this wasn't so common. If I had it my way no one would have to deal with it.
