Altiar was the best. His robes actually fit in more with the timeline as well as not being some annoying character. I've already stated my distaste with how the AC series feels like it just went the route of being the CoD of action/adventure games, but maybe IV is somewhat decent. Haven't played one since Brotherhood, due to hating the main character. I just..never like Ezio. Ever.

Brotherhood and Revelations were actually really good, they ended Ezio's story really well. but Black Flag is more in line with the rest of the numbered games and Edward is just as cool and interesting as Altair.

Ezio was seeking revenge throughout AC2 and Brotherhood, in Revelations Ezio was trying to uncover Altair's secrets located within Masyaf which was taken over by the Templars at that point.

That's the thing that bothered me. His father is an assassin so that suddenly makes him one? They didn't really explain it unless they meant for it to be conveyed as assassins are only possible through genes, which is just beyond stupid. Ezio never grew up during ACII, in my eyes. Couldn't really enjoy the games with a character that just grates on the nerves. ACIII didn't interest me for various reasons.

no, they did explain it, at that point in time the order of assassins was stretched very thin, if Ezio hadn't continued in his fathers footsteps then the order of assassins would have died then and there. Ezio's father wanted him to rebuilt the order and take out the Templars and also avenge his death.

Wait, his father wanted him to avenge his own death? How does that make sense? Either way, the whole story was a little too bogus for my liking. I enjoy a good story, but when it's told so haphazardly with a bad character, it's really hard to enjoy it. Either way, others enjoy it in some respect. Just wasn't a good game in any sense for me.

I'm good. Just saying the story wasn't told well and it wasn't able to hold my interest. ACI was alright...until the end. Like I said before, just wasn't a good game in my eyes. I know others enjoy it, but I just can't.

the story was told well, watch the video, all you need to see is Ezio talking to his father in prison and his execution to understand Ezio's motivation. the only reason you don't understand the plot is because you didn't pay attention to the dialogue. Ezio is seeking to avenge his father's death which was at the hand of Rodrigo Borgia.

Not making this a debate, I've said my opinion. It's not told well, and I did pay attention. Played it for hours, I just never found the story good. It was okay, at best.

Again, not debating this. It's a bad story to me. It's an opinion. Nothing needs to be 're-evaluated.' Trying to get someone to change their opinion is pretty rude, though. Let it be. I thought it was bad and still do. Rewatching it or replaying it won't change my opinion. Ever.

actually it just might, if you simply pay attention. your "opinion" is based on you not paying attention to the story and the main character's motivation as evident by the earlier part of this conversation.

He's doing awesome for what he went through... to be fair, how shitty are your parents(as parents AND as assassins) if they just LET YOU run away from home? srsly? He was screwed from the beginning.

he got screwed big time at the end of AC3, though he did become the new Jesus so I guess that counts for something.
