Both System suck ass, there are no good games, BWUAH, PS4 has free to play games, WHUAH.
Whats that, some of the GOOD games we have been waiting for are coming eairly September!? But I need them now! This sucks, I wasted my money, Im going to by a PC because they have better games then any console, WHAUH.
Grow the fuck up people...seriously. Its gotten old 3 months ago.
Both consoles JUST came the fuck out, and there are great games (Hopefully) being developed.
You should have thought about the wait time for games before you bought the console if you knew you couldnt wait.
Or hell, go join the PC master race, most of them are getting in our faces as hard as the PS3 fanboys VS the Xbox Fanboys

I'm just happy to be involved in this new gen of gaming. I'm excited to see all that will come :>
But, it is what it is, maybe later when I make more money I can get them :)
And, couldnt agree more
And who cares? People can get consoles if they want, people can play them for the PC if they want, I will never understand why it matters so much.
Justp lay the games, they're meant to be fun and distract from problems you may be having in real life. Fuck all this MY DICK IS BETTER THAN YOURS bs.

"And who cares? People can get consoles if they want, people can play them for the PC if they want, I will never understand why it matters so much."
and I totally understand that but Microsoft doesn't have any exclusives that warrant the purchase of their console and PC gaming is cheaper anyway.
I own a PC, as well so I know the inconveniences of not playing games all the time and having to update for hours before I can even play them.
PCs are for users that have time, and are able to dedicate themselves to playing every few days or more, whereas consoles are much more casual. They're meant to just sit down and play after a day of work.
And considering I'm playing my xbox one, and using my laptop at the same time, it's entirely more convenient than using my PC. (Not to say I don't enjoy using my PC, I just like this combo a lot more because it's what I'm used to).
well here I'm going to clear up some misconceptions about PC gaming. everything on PC basically updates by itself in the background. and you do pretty much the exact same amount of maintenance on a PC as you do on a console. I've had my gaming PC for about three years now and haven't opened it up once, I wont have to upgrade the hardware for atleast three more years give or take a year. and when I do eventually upgrade all I'll have to change is the graphics card which is about as easy as changing the hard drive in your console.
"I own a PC, as well so I know the inconveniences of not playing games all the time and having to update for hours before I can even play them."
as I said before if you buy all your PC games through a service like steam all of your games will update automatically without you ever noticing.
"PCs are for users that have time, and are able to dedicate themselves to playing every few days or more, whereas consoles are much more casual."
PC gaming is no more or less time consuming than console gaming.
"They're meant to just sit down and play after a day of work."
which is exactly how PC gaming works, you can just sit down and play casually. no bullshit involved.
"And considering I'm playing my xbox one, and using my laptop at the same time, it's entirely more convenient than using my PC. (Not to say I don't enjoy using my PC, I just like this combo a lot more because it's what I'm used to). "
which is what the Steam overlay is for and also Alt-Tab. you can surf the internet or do whatever you want on your computer while you play PC games.
Even if you play it through steam, you have to wait for those updates to finish before playing them, and sometime they can be very substantial! Or say you sit down to play some Guild Wars 2, or some other game that isn't based in Steam. You have to wait anywhere between a minute and hours to play your game, depending on how many patches and updates you've missed.
When a game comes out to the xbox, or the playstation, sure. You have to install it, or you have to update the software every now and then, but those updates take an upside of a few minutes at most. Plus the game comes ready to play, and doesn't NEED to change unless you decide you want to add more to it via DLC, or compatibility updates.
Every console (And PC) has it's ups and downs, but there is no such thing as a singular Master Race, because so many people have different opinions. The only thing the PC has, that Consoles don't, is a collection of people that have MASTERED trolling, and hacking, and modding, to the point where they believe it's alright to say that PC is a "Master Race" when to someone else, who doesn't understand those things, and can't handle the trolling, will think that PC is stupid. It depends solely on what you've grown up with, and what you're used to.
no you don't, they happen in the background. I hardly ever notice when my steam games get updated.
Again.
Say you want to get on and play Vindictus, through Steam. I log into steam, and I have to wait for my update before I can launch the game I want to play. So sure, in the meantime, I'll play something else. So then the Steam update finishes, and I go to play Vindictus. NOW I get to wait for it to finish patching the new data. That wait time right there?
That's only on the PC.
Let's see if I get misunderstood again xD
See, I knew you'd get it eventually...
Those really long, inconvenient patches? That's PC ONLY. That's what I'm saying. Despite not being Steam, they're still on the PC, and the PC is the only gaming device that I know of that has patches that can take hours or more to complete depending on the game.
I'm not saying that once you get INTO the game, it's worse than console, but until then, it's inconvenient. That's all.
if you don't like games that update via a proprietary launcher then simply don't play those games, like I said they are mostly F2P games, and most non F2P games don't use proprietary launchers they simply update in the background through Steam. I don't think I can name a single non F2P game that uses a proprietary launcher to update rather than updating through Steam. your problem is a non issue.
I see a game that looks fun, and I want to play it. No matter what kind of game it is.
I go to open the launcher, and it tells me I have to wait to play it, after going through the hassle of downloading, and putting everything where it needs to go, yadda yadda.
PLEASE tell me how this is not inconvenient? I WANT to play those games, I'm FINE with waiting if I have to, but it's a lot easier to enjoy a game you can just jump right into. Am I wrong? I'm not saying it's bad, I'm not saying I can't handle it,
I AM SAYING:
"It's inconvenient"
While the console game took 30 minutes - an hour
These arnt XBOX exclusives...these are MICROSOFT exclusives
So, PC.....Xbox....eitherway, its Microsoft
I'm gonna take a shot in the dark and say you don't have anything but a PC, so all of your allegations, and preferences are based off of someone elses' opinions, or videos you've seen, and that's not how you should judge anything. Hands on experience is the only way to form a worthwhile opinion that makes sense.
I mean games like ico/Shadow of the Colossus, the Last of Us, and Journey versus Halo and Gears of War.
What I don't understand is why we have to fight over what's better when they all keep us occupied the same way, they all keep us introverted and out of the sun equally.
Also. I'd like to point out that you may have quoted me, but what you said is still your opinion, as much as you say that Sony has better exclusives, it's still your own opinion on the matter. And of course, those whom agree with your viewpoints, so while I sit here, trying to tell you that your opinion is all well and good, it's not shared by everyone, you keep spouting off about your own opinions. Which is fine, I guess, it just doesn't make this a very open minded, intellectual conversation. It just kinda makes you look like you like Sony xD Which you obviously do (Which is totally okay).
which they do.

Halo and Gears of War are not worth spending $400 on a new console where as Sony's guaranteed good original exclusive games are.
There are many people out there that are still enthused, and attracted to the idea of playing a new Halo, or a new GoW, or any of the other awesome games that will be coming out for Xbone. The same can be said for any system. Ever.
People will bitch and go on and on about how one is better than the other, but it's simply not true. Each one has its merits, and each one has it's downfalls. It will always be that way, and if you don't believe that now, you'll see eventually. lol.
It's like you're arguing with me for the right to continue to be closed minded about this kinda crap.
yes they do, review scores and sales numbers don't lie.
"There are many people out there that are still enthused, and attracted to the idea of playing a new Halo, or a new GoW"
and those are the people that haven't played anything better so they wouldn't know a good game if it ran them over with a car.
"or any of the other awesome games that will be coming out for Xbone."
and there are none, Microsoft doesn't have any good IPs to make games of and the ones they do have they don't do anything with, not to mention Microsoft isn't willing to make new IPs or one off games like Sony which work really well for Sony because they put their best studios behind those games. RARE was easily one of the best things Microsoft had going for them, while under Microsoft RARE made three good games and now pretty much everybody who was with the studio originally has left because Microsoft refuses to let them make anything new.
"The same can be said for any system. Ever."
no, it actually can't. Sony and Nintendo consistently make really good exclusive software for their respective consoles, Microsoft on the other hand does not.
"It's like you're arguing with me for the right to continue to be closed minded about this kinda crap."
OH! so I'm the closed minded one here? I own every console, I play every game. I know first hand which ones are good and which ones suck.
The only one I don't have yet is the PS4. I've done my fair share of game playing, and obviously, it has come to a point where I play games to play games. It's not about which is better, and it shouldn't be. Play the games you want to play, and don't rule out that someone in this small world of ours likes something different than you do.
Also, those sites are only for the people that take the time to review and comment on the games/systems. Keep in mind that there are a lot of people that aren't accounted for on those sites (Such as myself, because reading reviews is for lazy people that don't want to give a new game a chance, so they see what other people think).
I'm sorry, but you can have your preferences, and I can have mine. Personally? I have played better than Halo and I'm STILL super excited for the next installment. Not because there was nothing better but because I GREW UP with that game. It was fun then, and it's still fun. Though that's not to say I'm less excited for any of the awesome new games coming out for ANY system they come out for.
So please, continue to play games because they're better than other games, and please! Have fun with it! It's how you are, and how you enjoy yourself, but next time you see something like this? Keep your elitist ideals out of it, and see that every game is a game because it brings joy to the person playing it, even if it DOESN'T have the best specs out there. For fucks sake, it's a video game. We're arguing over it like it's our lifeblood. And that's pathetic in its own right.
Their controllers have tech that could seriously take gaming to a whole new level and put them out on top....but I hear they are hard to make games for, and just from what Ive noticed, they arnt big on Takig Chances.
And amusingly, 3 big reasons Im not a PC gamer....
Keyboard controls (Yes I know I can get a modded controller), Id need to spend WAY MORE on a good gaming PC, and steam sales would drain my wallet XD
I'll take Mario, Metroid, Zelda, StarFox, and F-Zero over anything else any day.
"Their controllers have tech that could seriously take gaming to a whole new level and put them out on top....but I hear they are hard to make games for, and just from what Ive noticed, they arnt big on Takig Chances."
I totally agree, I picked up Black Ops 2 for the Wii U and the Wii remote and Nunchuck controls are simply amazing. I never want to play a first person shooter any other way ever again.
"Keyboard controls (Yes I know I can get a modded controller), Id need to spend WAY MORE on a good gaming PC, and steam sales would drain my wallet XD "
I wasn't really into PC games much until I got a gaming PC a few years ago. the mouse and Keyboard controls are way better than a controller. when I got back and play the same games on consoles it feel like I just lost limb.
and as far as price is concerned, hardware is slightly more expensive but you don't need to upgrade it nearly as much as you would buy a new console and the prices of games are way cheaper. I got Tomb Raider and Dishonored for about $5 each during the last Steam sale. Tomb Raider and Dishonored is $20-$30 on consoles.
PC gaming has got better since the last year or so. It did hit a bad rut for a while. The only thing I can never agree on is that PC gaming is supposedly cheaper. I can't see it and never have, unless you're talking strictly about game sales. That's the only thing it holds cheaper, really.
if you want to play games that are a year or two old then build a computer for $500, if you want to play games that are newer then build a computer that is $700. it all depends on the kind of performance you want out of games. and that computer will last you alot longer than a console.
That's very subjective, though. Depends on how the person treats their console/PC. I guess being able to play the games at all would be good. Considering some price points will be over those marks if you want to play them maxed out. Not by a whole lot, but it all depends on what exactly you would want out of it. Run smoother, look cleaner, etc. Or, you could go to the other end of the spectrum and buy a pre-built one. For some reason.
If I want to browse a site, order a pizza online, listen to music, watch videos, Photoshop, ANYTHING ELSE.....I have a PC for that.
Xbox tried to sell their NextGEN as an all in one. Ok, thats cute, but I only want to play games on it...
Anything else Ill want to do, I can do on a computer.
I prefer a Gaming Console to do, what it was built to do.
I prefer a Computer, for Everything else.
Not sure if its still a thing, but do you need to be online to register and activate Codes to even play or download your PC games from Disc's?
Cause, if that is still an important thing, what do people do if they cant afford a consistent and good internet connection and have nowhere to go to "barrow" it? Not to mention if they arnt tech savy and cant just hack into a guys network, or Cafe or other places have a strict monitoring process (And yes they exist) that keeps you from Downloading, and they can literally shut out access to the net? Where is your Master Race then, or is it only viable to those that can actively just afford these things?
Steam games and many other PC games are sold via Digital Sale, and many games Ive come across need at least a 1-time code activated online before you can download and or play.
SO, I just want to hear your reaction on this....because it was a huge problem with Xbox ONEs first ideal pitch with the exact issues of NEEDING to be online. Everything was download only, and you NEEDED to be online or it literally shuts off because it all runs on a Cloud Server. Without access to that server, the ONE couldn't function. (Again, this is The ONEs very first pitch before the kinect and online & Digital Only thing was removed)
*blegh*
All in all a game is a game if you play it on PC, Sony, Microsoft, or whatever the hell you want to play it on.
But for now I'm sticking with my Wii/3ds and PS3/PSVita just to keep me occupied.
