I've been listening to a lot of Perfume lately, Spending All My Time and One Room Disco, and Lou Bega's Boyfriend.

A buddy of mine is big into Perfume! I think I lean towards Nakata's earlier stuff with Capsule, but it's all fun!

Hah, yeah. His early solo work (1977-82) represents some of what I think is the best early 80s "thinking" music. Heck, for that matter, his The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway album is up there with some of my favorite 70s music of the same genre.

I do like Caribou! Though I've only heard a little bit. And Numbs has been helping me dive into Boards of Canada. It hasn't super clicked for me yet, but I feel like it checks a lot of boxes, so on paper it should be a band I like? Hopefully I'll find "that track" that really makes it gel for me. If you've got a favorite, let me know!

yeah! i need to give his latest more of a thorough listen, but i've liked what i've heard from brief listens. EXIT will always have a very special place in my heart though.

It's great! I think Port Entropy felt a bit...tighter? And more mature, maybe. He's still using toy piano and lots of cute, twee instrumentation, but it feels a bit more organized and edited and less chaotic, but it still keeps that happy energy.
