OK get this. I have an idea for a James Bond film.
The current Bond (Daniel Craig) is sent to take out a terrorist played by Sean Connery. However, Sean Connery is in fact playing the same but older James Bond as he did in the 1960s. He reveals to Craig that he isn't the first "James Bond" as it's a persona handed onto new agents for MI6s most dangerous missions, and that when they're through they assassinate them, select a new Bond, and repeat. Connery was thought killed but has been planning all these years to stop MI6's Bond Program, and with the help of the now turned Craig he does so.
There could also be a twist in that Connery IS a terrorist AND a previous Bond, only while the others retired in secrecy he went rouge and insane.
Also the old James Bond actors could have cameos to show their assassinations (or one comming forward to show Craig that Connery is insane)
