Banette is wonderful, and it was one of the first ones I was going to do because I think its lore mixes nicely with some of the others. *cough*phantump*cough*

Originally, from what I know Banette was going to be the soul of a lost child, not a toy, but Game Freak thought it'd be a little too 'real' for their audiences to handle. I'm not sure which I'd prefer to be quite honest.

Hey, Pokemon always kinda skirted around the darker stories even though it so reguarly gets close to going there (Marowaks Mother, Team Magma and Aqua wanting to destroy parts of the world etc etc.) Which always made me feel kind of cheated, dunno why.
