Not sure how many of you have ever heard the song, but Anna Nalick performs "Citadel" in her album "Wreck of the Day".
Listening to the lyrics in the car today while driving to the mall with my parents, I realized something I've never really thought about before.
Reflecting on the words, I realized that... I've created so much, an entire world all my own, set in such a citadel: Scion. It is a city carved from the living rock of a citadel of stone, thrust upwards from the earth to tower above the desert sands...
... but then, I thought. I am the creator of this small domain of imagination, the ruler of this fantastical land. I sit alone at the top of the citadel, looking down upon my creations...
... and I realize that, no matter how hard I may try, I can never truly live amongst them.
It's a rather humbling experience, in a way.

it is a shame that for all the power of imagination, we can make only the most tiny changes over the here and now...still...the power to create is a beautiful thing
