Fursuiters, just think.

We are going through a great recession right now, and me and my family are going through a lot of trouble.
I am shooting to get a fullsuit sometime soon, and I am extremely PISSED OFF to see the prices so high.
I mean, over $1,000?! That's outrageous. I found people during Halloween while trick-or-treating selling heads for $250.
I just can't believe that, it's stupid. Period.

Now go piss someone else off. I'll get CHEAP feetpaws soon.
A full suit. Materials cost for fur is anywhere between $200-500 on average. Fur alone. Foam can be $50-100 or resin that tops in around $300 for all supplies. Then lets say an artist is working at an hourly wage of $9 per hour (average minimum wage, no benefits). K, now lets factor in roughly 100 or so hours to make the full suit, the years of experience to produce a quality piece, and the knowledge of the tools required.
Add that altogether and you tend to get a $1500-2000 for a custom full suit, of which the artist may make $500 before shipping and tax, bringing it down to only $200 profit. These people have to make a living somehow.
Want to know what pisses me off? For someone to think a fursuit is a necessity. Costumes and art are luxury items. You won't die without one. To be angry at someone trying to make a living off of something you can't afford is your own problem. Can't afford one right now? Bite the bullet like everyone else trying to scrape by, don't complain that 'fur suits are too expensive'. Before shooting your mouth off next time think before you speak.
So you are complaining about the prices being too high because you can't afford it. Welcome to everyone's life. Deal with it.
>bitches based on no facts
You wot mate?
Next time look er up before you think others deserve less then they are worth : 3
Most makers will take payment plans also if you are very set on getting one, it is rude to tell them they are charging way too much for a suit when out of what they charge goes to also taking care of their homes, it is no different from you or your family going to work to support your family. This is a form of work. Just like everyone else in the world who work they get up and go to work in the morning and i have seen a lot of them work way into the night to try and get these suits done in time for people to be able to enjoy them.
As sharpe also said. Please watch what you say to people. you aren't the only one in the world struggling to get by, and it doesn't leave you any right to complain about someone else trying to get by in life because of prices of something they make by hand.
If you're in such financial straits, don't even try affording a damn suit, focus on living expenses, food, shelter, bed to sleep on.
Pisses me off when I see people bitching about how they can't afford anything, and they had just splurged on commissions or pieces of a suit.
What's outrageous is that the rich aren't paying more taxes, because they wanted to be able to afford their tenth pony, fifth diamond-studded swimming pool, and third mansion.
Meanwhile babies starve on the street.
For fursuits, it seems very fair considering all the injustice in the world.
