finally quitting smoking......
After 3 years of smoking 1-2 packs if cigarettes a day for three years I just smoked my last cigarette for hopefully ever. I really just can't not being able to breath, always coughing, smelling like an ashtray constantly, the fact that cancer runs in my family, so if I keep smoking I'm bound to get it, and finally the main reason, money. I am starting to realize that spending 7-14 dollars a day just to slowly kill myself and degrade my health. It's just outrageous that there are still people who can justify doing this. The only time I can somewhat justify smoking is social smoking. Just having a couple cigarettes with friends at a party. I'm really, really nervous if the withdrawals, but im more excited for the benifits. I've talked to multiple people and they all say when you quit in a matter of a month your breathing will surprise you a lot. I guess you can breath easily twice as well once you quit.another thing is not being sick every other week. Right now on average I get sick twice a month, anything from a small cold, to the one I had a couple months ago, a bacterial throat infection with a double ear infection. The last thing that I'm debatably the most excited for is, from what I hear, your sense of smell and taste improves a thousand percent. Like I said I'm super nervous but the benifits make it so well worth it. I'll keep the 15 watchers that I have up to date on my progress if anyone really cares. Wish me luck!! *hugs* :D

Wish you the best of luck, it might not be easy at first but like you said it is so worth it. My grandfather used to smoke but quit a few years ago and I swear he actually looks a bit younger now and his heath really improved, I would say it added a few decades to his life span just quitting. He ended up needing to take some medicine to help him quit but it was worth it, after getting a lung replaced and a open hear surgery from smoking he finally had enough of it.

OP
after the first 6 hours with out a cigarette I really couldnt handle it and went out and spent 40 bucks on the that nicotine gum. its helping me get by but withdrawals are so much worse than I expected :( but thank you for the support! it means a lot seeing as though literally none of my friends are helping through this. *hugs you back tight*

aww your welcome *snuggles back tightly* like I said I know my grandfather end up having to take that medication that helps people quit, and the idea of possibly having another lung replaced might have helped too. oh by the way, you have a cute character, he he
