what a hell of a weekend!!!

This weekend i trained for a large NATO wargame in Northern Norway.
It almost rained from start to end. We were on a pressed time Schedule and with every road turned into a muddy pulp it became quite defficult to stick the Schedule.
During the saturday morning we were out in the rain fighting in the squads we had been placed in and after that we had a half to change into our GYM clothes and then had to run 3 km within 15 mins.
The rest of the day was preparing for night patrols.
The night patrols went well, after trying to sneak close to the enemy wading through small streams that were knee Deep, climbing the banks of the streams which was more or less mud that collapsed at the slightest weight, we were spotted and had to retreat though we found us a bridge.
So soaking wet half the squad tried Again while the rest of us, stood still in the Wind freezing like hell, keeping an eye out for enemy movements.
after an hour and twenty minutes the scouts returned and we went back to camp. Walking for a Little over a half hour.
Sunday morning started early and then we left camp to attack the scouted areas. The attacks went well and after attacking the enemy positions we proceeded attacking their second positions. Attacking up hill is never fun.
The attack went like shit, my squad did well but the rest fucked up.
And you know what? It rained all sunday too so it was nothing but mud and Water we fought in.
So in the end what a hell of a weekend, but damn it was fun :)
