IMO it seems like bullshit, forcing someone to watch ________ artist for a raffle entry.... watches are supposed to be EARNED if such person LIKES the art.....

The problem is, is that a lot of people get into commissioning art and whatnot to get money so they can provide for themselves(others not so much) because in this shitty economy, jobs are harder to find. You are not forced as you said, nobody is putting a gun to your head and making you watch them, you still have the option to watch them or not if you don't want to take part in the raffle. Watching someone for a raffle entry is essential, how will you know who the winner is or if there are any unexpected announcements regarding the raffle? In the end, how people get watches is quite frankly trivial.

I'm not an artist nor do I have any art on my page, yet I still get watches. Either they expect art or they just like how I speak.

People CHOOSE to watch other people because they see something there that they like. No one forces them to do anything. If they don't want to pop a watch on a raffle, then they won't. If they don't want to add to the "popularity" of someone (which I think is a really fucking stupid thing to worry about) then they won't watch.

If the person is doing raffles to gain watchers, and nothing else, then what's to say those watchers will definitely stick around once they find there's no more freebies? People are just as free to unwatch someone.

So all in all, no one's being forced to do anything, it's choice by both parties, and both parties SHOULD HAVE THAT CHOICE. Just because person B doesn't want to do it, and finds the method flawed, there's no reason why he should shout a bunch just so person A, who doesn't mind it in the least bit, doesn't even get the choice.

It's pretty much like "I don't like this and I'm too much of a baby to walk away from something. So i'm going to make sure that MY opinion is the only one that's allowed and shut it down for people who don't agree."

I'm just really really tired of people acting like watchers are forced to be there just because someone ran a raffle.
