Webcomic thoughts
So, my brother-in-law and I have been talking about maybe working together on a webcomic. He would do the writing and I would be doing the artwork. We're still obviously in the very beginning planning stages and considering websites, as well as planning out ideas for what genres we might be interested in.
I've always kind of been interested in doing a webcomic, but my writing skills have always been very weak. I also tended to lose motivation because I didn't know where I wanted the story to go, or what I wanted to have happen. I had some ideas, but I'm really more on the artistic side so the ideas I had were only ever just thoughts about what would make a pretty cool scene.
You, as my watchers and my friends, would be the ones this would effect the most to an extent because while I would still be taking on commissions, they would not be nearly as often as before (not that I've been taking commissions the past year much anyway). I think, no matter what, I'm interested in doing this project, but I also feel like you guys have a right to know about it.
I'm also curious about how many of you might have suggestions on what you enjoy seeing. Not just furry stuff, but in general. From my own experience, people tend to relate better to stories that are in a more modern day setting, even if more fantastic elements are added in. "Weirder" comics might have a decent amount of exposure at first, but seem to quickly lapse into obscurity fairly quick.
Also, if anyone has webcomic experience and you have some tips you'd be interested in giving out, I'd definitely appreciate it.
So thanks for listening guys, and as always thanks for watching! Ya'll are awesome, and I look forward to seeing what the future brings.
