So, I just thought I'd give an update for those of you who were wondering if I'm doing alright. I ended up going to the hospital because I was going into diabetic ketoacidosis, blood sugar was way too high. Went to the ER at 5pm on Sun? and got out Wednesday at 2pm, straight to the doctor.
I have to take insulin shots now, but the needles are not bothering me anymore. Beats shots and blood draws every four hours for 3 days straight. couldn't even sleep. Although one of the nurses apparently gave me a shot in my sleep. I'm glad she didn't wake me up or I think I would've flipped. Blood sugar had spiked up all the way to 400 at one point and now it's going down slowly but surely at 187. I'm glad I'm doing better, and I'm going to start swimming regularly again
