Hey! Just got all my MFF photos online. If you're in a photo, please feel free to save/repost! I wouldn't mind a credit or link back, but NBD.

Overall an excellent con! Second MFF for me, and first time working on staff--they run a very tight ship, regardless of the pirate theme.

Those are great photographs!
The lighting is all sorted, they are crystal clear, and the subjects are all lighted to make their features stand out so well,
Tell me again, What sort of camera were you using ? What about the lens? Did you employ any kind of external flash? Are you shooting in RAW and then post-processing?
You captured so many fursuit character that I never even seen before! I think I may have spent *too* much time staring through the eyes of Tycho Aussie and not enough time staring through my own Nikon lens. Hmm... Everything in life has a learning curve it seems.
Well done, and thank you for sharing these with us, Wolfwithdances :)
I was shooting with a Canon 6D, which is the cheap[er] full-frame DSLR that Canon debuted last year. I mostly switched between the 24-105mm f/4L lens that came with it, and the 28mm f/1.8 and 50mm f/1.4 prime lenses (that open up just wide enough to get some light in that cavernous hotel atrium). The selective-focus lens is from a Lensbaby, which is a fun toy but I'm definitely still honing in on using that without abusing it. I do have a Canon 430EX II flash, but based on the cast shadows I actually think I erred on the side of over-use this year. I probably should have relied more on the hotel lighting, or bouncing off the walls and ceiling—one more peril of con photography in a Chicago snow bunker. Ultimately, though, gear is just gear; I put a little investment into my bag but beyond a fast prime lens and a flash I don't feel like my shots are magically much better than the low-end XSi I started with.
FWIW, I do shoot in RAW, and do post-process; Camera Raw saved a number of poor exposures but I try to keep my editing hand light. Exposure, contrast, color temperature, and crop are as much as I feel comfortable editing before it turns from photography into mixed-media digital art. :)
So glad I got a chance to introduce myself in person, and glad you liked the shots! Have a very happy Thanksgiving.
