So I'm trying to get great pokemon breed and I seen that Greninja's shiny form is this cool jet black with red tongue scarf. So I start with breeding an Outstanding Froakie with Hp, Def ,SpA, SpD, Speed, timid nature with Protean and a Jap Ditto with SpA, Speed. Now I've been hatching eggs for three days got the Hatching O power to level 3 and several boxes of Outstanding Froakies but no shinies... Then tonight I finally hatched a shiny Superior Att, Speed with Torrent.... So yeah my luck with shinies is holding strong.
Machin Shin is still okay with Expert Belt(poor mans Protean) but now I'm just going to raise one of his non-shiny sisters.

The easiest way to get shinies is to chain fish. Have a pokemon with Suction Cups or Sticky Hold in the lead spot, DON'T MOVE from where ever you first cast, and reel in every tug. You don't have to fight every pokemon you reel in, you can run from the battle and it's usually under a 40 battle chain you'll fight at least one shiny.
