As far as I can tell, I lost the pictures I did so far. Thankfully they were only sketches and not actually painted!
Starting over with them today, and I'm going to try to make myself work on them at least a half hour each day. I know I can get them done soon if I just do that.

That's the worst feeling, when you've worked on something for so long and something happens to it. I do a lot of digital work and there have been times that computer crashes or stupid mistakes on my part resulted in hours, even days of work being lost. Now I'm super paranoid about data backup! But even then, you can't control for everything.
