my own parents weren't bad people. they meant well. but i never felt particularly close to them either.
i had no siblings, only met my mom's family a few times and never have any of my dad's.

they've both passed away a good number of years ago now anyway.

yeah I love my parents and they are fine, but I don't really have anything in common with them. Mostly hubbies family that is being different and my cousins. Eh. It is what it is. I'm an only child as well.
