Every year around this time of year, I am thankful that there are charities out there that look out for the underprivildged children. When I was a child, I always got something for Christmas even though my family was dirt poor. Me and my siblings really believed in a Santa Claus because there was no way my parents could afford presents or even a tree , but every Christmas we seemed to have something under a tree from mysterious strangers on Christmas morning. When I grew older and went through some family changes (ie foster care and adoption) I found out that all the presents I had received as a child was that of other peoples good will and charity. As an adult, even if I don't have much money myself, I always give a gift so a child can have one to Toys for Tots or other charity that is closely available so I can be able to give back to the people who were just like me; to give a little joy to a kid's life that has nothing. If you've read this far, I hope you have a merry christmas and see into yourself how fortunate you are. If you have the ability, do at least one thing for charity this Christmas which will give hope to people who are less fortunate ^_^ Happy Holidays and hope everyone is safe.
