A little christmas adventure

This might put some panties in a twist... But need I remind you that in Japan, you can buy panties from a vendor, so you're safe...
Okay. The last three days, i've been occupied with helping with moving stuff. Like, a house - into an apartment.
The day today started at 10AM this morning, and proceeded till 6 PM with driving, dumping garbage, moving furniture and listening to bickering - on top of me running on about 8 hours of sleep in total throughout these three days. Regardless...
... The guy who's driving (I can't drive. I am almost blind), and I decided to pass by the local grocery store to get some smaller stuff tagged and bagged before next week's state. And well. That went well enough.
At the cashier, I noticed that the couple with baby in front of me in the line, had forgotten a rather expensive electric toothbrush while I was packing. Before any thought struck me, I grabbed the forgotten item and darted after the couple in a flash, leaving my companion behind in a dustcloud and questionark pile. I caught up with them at the exit and held out the item with a smile and said "I believe you forgot this." they were very grateful and smiled widely. I walked back and was a happy fen.
On the way out, I planned to stop by the nearby stand to get a bag of sugarcoated almonds. The guy from the couple whose item I had returned, walked up to me with a bag of almonds and said "Merry christmas, and thank you".
Okay. That was unexpected. We parted ways with happy smile. Once again, a happy fen with perked ears. So, decided to get some almonds for my companion. He loves sugarcoated almonds. So, we got a taste and told the candymaker how many bags I wanted. Mind you, I am from Denmark, so my Norwegian, is very Danish. And the next thing was the candymaker saying "You sound like a Dane". Turns out she was a Dane as well. A dane in the middle of Norway and of all bloody chances, I was lucky to run into her. A good long talk followed, and I'd made a new friend not far from where I live!
Happy fen is happy.
