Windows 8...............

This might put some panties in a twist... But need I remind you that in Japan, you can buy panties from a vendor, so you're safe...
Okay. Fair warning: This is a bit of a rant. You're warned now. Don't tell me you aren't warned, and don't get pissy.
I know there are some of you outthere, who likes Windows 8. I used to think it a pretty fair system too. Believe me. I'm a Windows 7 fur, and I gave Windows 8 a try... It lasted for a grand total of five months and then ...
......
......
............................ WIN8 IS BLOODY MALWARE!
... *pants* needed to scream that. But yes. This morning, on the 24th of May, the day before my birthday, the computer i'm sitting at; an otherwise excellent tower of high capacity, and sadly (used to) running windows 8, decided to flip the lid and just brick (break) completely. Wouldn't load, wouldn't give me access to boot menu, wouldn't do system restore, would do jack. Okay? Let's try booting differently: Did nada.
Tried restoration from CD/USB? Nada
Tried bypassing? Nada
Tried safemode? Couldn't even get access to it.
Tried repair? three hours continuous, did nada.
Checked hardware? Everything works fine.
Literally went through everything. Then come to think of it, the most recent updates to Windows 8 has ravaged my systems rather vividly... Even the techie we called over, couldn't outright grasp how Windows 8 could do this and was just as baffled as we were.
No this short fur is back on solid Windows 7 and happy again. And if I ever got asked to go back to Windows 8, i'd do one of the following:
- Point to the door
- Ask you how much you'd pay me
- or just laugh hysterically and ask you if it's a joke.
Thank you for lending me you ears... Also, it's my birthday again... *scoots off to hide*

Personally, I use my pc mostly for gaming. Im watching that Vulkan API right now cause its potentially a way to allow me move over to Linux.
I used to work with both Fedora and Mint; both of which I had relative pleasant experiences with when it came to stability, performance and reliability ... once you got over the whole part about learning how to make shortcuts, the commandline installation and the good old /kill-9. If Windows 7 some day ceased to work by hand of Microsoft, i'd swap to Linux again. My experience with Win8 has left a really sour taste in my maw and if Win10 and expansions are going to follow suit, then that horse has run away... pardon the pun.
Its not hard to beat windows 8. Id probably go as far as saying IOSX is better.
