I'm sorry to worry anyone. I will still post pictures of bills so people don't think I was running some kind of scheme but this is a huge weight off my shoulders. going to go cry all the way to the vet now.

This is kind of long, but straight to the point:
I had to take my cat in to the emergency vet over thanksgiving weekend because he was straining to urinate. He had a blockage, a ton of crystals in his urine, and a nasty UTI that he'd probably been hiding for a while. They expressed his bladder, gave him a ton of meds, and sent me home with 250 dollars less in my bank account... plus the gas to make the hour-and-a-half round trip to the only clinic open at the time.
All was well for 2-3 weeks or so, and I took him in for a recheck to my normal vet. Still a ton of crystals, still massive infection, despite all the meds and antibiotics and a food change. Got some more antibiotics, some urine acidifying pills, and went back home. This was Tuesday. And minus another 100 dollars.
Yesterday, he started straining again, so back to the vet I went. They wanted to do surgery, but having just spent around 350 dollars, not including all the extra gas, I didn't have the funds. They put him under light anesthesia and catheterized him and gave him some steroids via injection and a muscle relaxer/pain medication, but warned me he'd likely block again. I bought a lot of expensive food to try to dissolve the crystals. Another 110 dollars.
He has been urinating frequently, but it's small amounts and broken streams, and I have a feeling I'll just be back in the hospital tonight or tomorrow morning. The meds and new food just haven't had time to work, yet.
At this point, I have no more extra funds to spend. All my christmas gift buying money is gone, I've had to delay rent and some other bills, and I have a total of 90 dollars in my bank account... nowhere near enough to pay for him to go in for a catheter, much less surgery, which is what the doctor is recommending. I won't have any money other than that for another week or so, and I have to buy food for myself, dog food, and gas to get to and from work. I'm at my wit's end.
I have called and asked for an estimate for the surgery, aftercare, meds, etc. and will be picking up that paper this afternoon. As soon as I have it, I will be working on creating a gofundme with pictures of all relevant bills and the cat in question (his royal chubness, Francisco Javier Purrela Garcia, aka Frank, Cisco, and Big-Kitty-Man).
I hate doing this, but any and all donations are very much appreciated. I'm not going to lie. I can't do art for every donation because this surgery will likely be in the several-hundred-dollars range. I don't expect the internet to completely pay for it, but I seriously need some help.
In the meantime, I am open for any and all commissions, large or small, pay what you can. I will draw any rating of art, almost any subject. I'll even rush-build a few foam fursuit head bases (examples on my side account) if anyone is interested. The only caveat is that I need payment up front and asap, which I normally won't ask for.
I will take more than my normal queue, so it may take me a while to finish them all. But I have to try something. I'm desperate.
I know this is the worst possible time to come asking for help, and I understand that the holidays have probably sapped most people's bank accounts already. This is not what I wanted to be doing a week before christmas. But any and all help is greatly appreciated.
I will update with the gofundme link as soon as I am able. There will be proof of everything I've said there. Anyone interested in commissions or donating, please note me or drop me an email at jiminy.crowbait[at]gmail.com and I'll get back to you as soon as humanly possible.
I am grateful for any help, even just signal boosts and kind words. Thanks, guys.
