Why not expand beyond spell effects?
your not looking for that your looking for impressed response.
"that's cool." not "lol shoulda watched out."
You gotta be able to see how silly it is to tell a person what he is or isn't looking for when he JUST told you what he is looking for.
"I wouldn't do that because I want ______."
"No, you don't want _____, you want some other thing that I want you to want instead of that."
