Oh and this may sound like a dumb thing but got to ask, have you ever cleaned the lense? Like...they make CDs you can put in the disc drive that has bristles that run over the lens to clean them. Designed for that reason :O If that does nothing then I have to say you are probably going to have to find a ma and pa game store that can repair consoles and such that is local. We have a few like that around here. If not you might need a new PS3 all together :(
