I had an interesting (I thought) realization today. I was looking at my list of ideas for writing to do and suddenly figured out why a number of the ideas never leave the idea list. They are basically fan-fics of stuff other furry writers have done, and actually writing those scares the hell out of me. Most fan-fic, good or bad, isn't pretty anonymous, but the furry community is small enough that there is a Very good chance that the original author will see, if not read, my work, and they could put my name to it, and that is Very intimidating to me. I worry that I would mishandle their characters, world, plots, something, and upsetting the artists who I idolize with my work would just... hurt.

Anyone else ever feel that way?
