Ok, fair warning, rant mode And some touchy/disturbing thought inside. Read at your own risk.
I had an interesting realization today. People in positions of authority are SO worried about making sure no one gets hurt and that, at the same time, they spend as little money as possible, they create Very dangerous situations.
Think about it. Take pain medication controls. The government tries to restrict how many people get pain medicine and much people get. Then, if you don’t have health insurance, they eventually just stop giving you any at all.
What do they Think will happen in this situation: “Ok, so you spent the last X number of years telling me how a small overdose of my pills could kill me, so you need to keep me safe from it. Now you give me one last bottle and tell me that’s all I get. So, you gave me 5 times the amount of this I need to die or enough to not be in terrible pain for 30 day, maybe 60-90 if I’m willing to be in just a lot of pain. Then you tell me that’s all I ever get? Really…?”
