An Update for the New Year

Just a brief update to wish everyone a very happy new year. :)
I don't have much in the way of news, so this will be a bit short. I have had 2 weeks off from my part-time job, but I return to work on January 6th. I am eligible for transfer as of February 12th, and I continue to look for full-time work on my own, so I am hopeful that I can finally get back into a full-time salaried position before the winter is out.
If I do not have good job prospects by March, I expect to attend the Game Developers' Conference in San Francisco (for the first time since 2011) to shake a lot of hands and explore job opportunities. Work is bound to turn up sooner or later!
I cannot even begin to express how grateful I am to all of my friends - both on this site and elsewhere - who have lent me so much support over the last 2 years. 2013 was utterly miserable right up until the late Autumn, but I am starting out 2014 on the right foot and feel very optimistic about the future for the first time in a long while!
