Like my friend says she likes tails and paws and stuff but not the mask part of fursuits but she has nothing against em but she's just not interested. One of her co-workers dressed up in her fursuit for hallowed and my friend hugged the crap outta her but yeah I just dont think she'd ever be intested in going to a con but....

OHGOSH um I live in the dumb of Missouri so there are literally no popular cons near me but I REALLY want to go to Furry Fiesta, and hopefully AC and MFF! Since this would be my first year as a fursuiter/con-goer I didn't plan for too many cons just in case!

But that's all I'd considered, I wouldn't mind going to some farther away if someone I knew was there!

Man MFF and Furry Fiesta seem like really good cons~!! (Since I've watched a few vids on em) I thought AC was the only big con people bother to go to but there's a nice amount of furs that go to these other cons~!
I was thinking of going to FC since it's a pretty nice sized con and it's only 6 hours (or so) from LA XD
But if I could save up and go to one furcon a year I'd DEFIANTLY be AC~!! Oh wait~! Isn't AC usually in July~? I only ask because I go to Anime Expo in LA every year and it's always in July...hmm

At a furcon you don't need a handler. However, out in public you would. Like if you went to walk around town you would want one. But furcon's are usually safe and most everyone knows how to act around a fursuiter. At least that's what I've read and been told by other fursuiters.

Oooh~! Well thats good to know~!! Do you think that goes the same way when walking around the hotels in the area of the con~? I also would have liked to romp around outside but i thought it best to wrangle a handler beforehand ouo

Well if you keep with the crowd, which I'm going to assume for the most part it's hard not to, then you won't need to have a handler. I would think fursuiters would look out for fursuiters. If you don't feel comfortable going somewhere in suit, then don't go in suit. Otherwise, in the con and around the con would be safe. It helps to read up on what you should know while suiting and what you should expect from others as well. I'm getting my first suit soon and I've read a ton of things fursuiters typically need to know before going out into public with their suit. But as long as you're not completely on your own, you should be fine.

And yeah i've been watching a fursuiters world with  kuhori and  gravethewolf and its been fun learning about different fursuiting tips~! /as well as Kage's story telling sessions xD/
Im happy to know that i will be fine with or without a handler as long as im around furs~! I don't have many fur friends irl so i'll prolly go solo if my FA buds don't make it~!

 TouchofSnow is making my suit. :) She's awesome to work with! And that's awesome! I've watched some of their videos! There are times when I get bored and just go through youtube watching fursuit videos. :P
