Im not satanist but i agree with you on this. Im an atheist more over myself anyways.

As a Heathen, I support religious freedom. I will support this for the real Satanists.
By real I mean those that actually follow the teachings of LaVey and others. Not the ones that claim the title but make the other Theistic/LaVeyan's look really bad by not following their codes, or picking and choosing like hypocritical Christians that they claim to despise.

I am more of an atheist but i do believe in freedom of religion here on american soil. It would be a real shame if they didnt allow that, let people be who they are america.

Actually, as I Christian, I completely agree with you. It seems like everyone in every religion tries to make a profit off said religion...I really think, if you believe in something, you shouldn't have to flaunt it. Not saying these people are doing it, but you do make a point...

I agree, it's a personal journey, and yes sharing it with others is good, because maybe, by sharing, they can find some solace and purpose...but trying to gain from it is wrong and it's so sad that more and more religion has turned into a pissing match of whose is better instead of focusing on everyone strengthening their own faith and beliefs. And it's ok, it's why I tell people I'm a Christian actually, to show them that we aren't all like that. I want people to see that God tells us to share his word...not shove it down other peoples throats. You don't win people by forcing them, because then they are just joining to be accepted, to avoid fighting, or being killed. It's wrong.

That's very reasonable, but in my mind at least, I think of it as an inspiration, not a evangelizing attempt. Reason being, for true freedom and non persecution of satanists. It might also teach some people the true meaning of satanist.
All the funds go towards the effort to build the monument. The merchandise is only but a thank you for the actual donation.

I've had my eyes on this since the first time it was mentioned on the news. If I could, I'd totally contribute a couple thousand dollars, but I can't afford to contribute so much as five. I totally support the Satanic Temple though, as well as the Hindu group (not sure which one or their group name) that is also interested in erecting a statue.

No more of if no one stands up then nothing will change. Its that mentality that doing nothing or turning the other cheek in situations like this will somehow magically make change happen.

I believe that them standing up for equality in this situation will raise the fact that if anywhere in the united states a government office will think twice about erecting a religious monument on government grounds. This nation was built on religious freedom and though back then they might not have thought about the ramifications of what other religions may come forth and want equal demonstration, that is just how it is.

I support freedom of religion but there should be separation of church and state. I don't think a ten commandments monument should be up in a public government building.
im agnostic so it wouldn't offend me either way, but I guess if the ten commandments monument is there then a Satanist one should be allowed as well.

Baptist here. I support the memorial. After all, if one religion (Be it the varied sects of Christianity of the unhallowed worship of the State) can have one, why not the others? (Well, that or one big unified one, but good luck getting everyone to agree...)

I personally think every religion (yes, even the parody Spaghetti Monster one) should be able to put up their religious statues. Let it be a tourist attraction.
