I came up with Torn as my character name in 2006 when I was trying to come up with a name for my Furcadia account. At the time I was an angsty teen that had just broken up with my first boyfriend, for some reason I've never changed it after all these years. My main account and the name I usually use is Tornwulf, when I decided to make another account for my littlefur tendencies it just seemed logical to have the name reflect that.
