if anything I'd say it's lacking in Christmas, the color scheme is atrocious.

even though the banner clearly states 'happy holidays' the theme is clearly christmas which has the potential to put off those of different theologic backgrounds and can b offincive to those no of christian based religions. which is why when you shop somewhere, the employee is forced to say 'happy holidays' to keep out of a lawsuit XD

i personal dont care for the banner for that specific reason but its a good drawing n.n its the time of year when you get together to call to an end another year. its a happy time. and we get to see all the hyperactive present shaking icons again XD

oh Im not complaining about the drawing quality, and even LESS of the artists's skills. I just dislike superfluous crhismas

I'm not keen on the banner as well, but unlike a lot of furs I'm not going to rant about it in the forums, which I'm sure you're not going to either.

you know me for a long while, Rek. I know you never got to know me, but I know you know Im not the ranty kind of guy. is just that this banner shows all I dislike about crhismas, making it so... superfluous... All candy and toys and hype, and everyone forgets about faith- Im not religious... not the kind of religious youre used to, at least, but, if something derived from the birth of a god, you celebrate with excesses, celebrating, forgetting about what you have and only wishing what you dont, forgetting about faith, and higher awareness. a superior being, if you wish, and people jsut forgets teh meaning of something they dont care. ... whats not to hate about?

I wasn't accusing you of being ranty, sorry for that. But you're totally right. Christmas is so... superfical. It's all about the consumerism now, rather then the religious meaning. Heck, I'm not religious and I'm quite against the Christian faith but even I say that Christmas should be about the religion, not the spending. You can thank American for that.
