Shortly before the holidays I became eager for a cintiq-esque tablet from Monoprice.com, linked below. Considering the time of year, and the fact that I had no Christmas list to speak of, (I was broke and unable to buy things for others, so I didn't want others to worry about getting me something) when my family heard whispers of my interest in it, they decided to chip in together and place an order for one on the 16th of December. Even though they will never see this, I just want to put it out there again how grateful I am for their goodwill.

Considering 90% of my creativity has been funneled straight into my education, I've held back on drawing anything that has come to mind so that I have a nice backlog of projects to use on the new tablet. "Hit the ground running", or a more so scientifically accurate phrase.

The original date of arrival was supposed to be the sixth of January, then by some miracle, the date moved forward to the second of January. The second passed, then the sixth, and I had yet to receive a notification of the tablet's shipment, I decided to take a gander at the order form. The date had been pushed back to the 12th, then the 15th, and now it's sitting on the 17th... *facedesk*

I'm no less appreciative for the gift, and without Monoprice's severely discounted items -all with the same quality as their overpriced counterparts- I know I wouldn't have a snowball's chance in hell of getting an actual cintiq, but this is getting to be a bit much. :-/
