Super late to the party, but Happy New Year everyone! I hope you all had a nice holiday~

I haven't been very happy with my art for a while (hence the sparse uploads), so I really want to change my art up a bit and learn something new. This year will be THE year I'm going to figure out how to draw human faces.
SO UM! If anyone has a human character (or human like! The face needs to be distinctly human. No muzzles) with a visual reference that they don't mind me practicing with and possibly disfiguring, then please feel free to post their reference(s), thank you c: ! Post as many as you like! I need all the faces! Super brownie bonus points if you also post their personalities <3

What really helped me begin to get a handle on drawing humans was just copying cartoon/anime stills (before eventually taking some life drawing courses). I really recommend drawing from life to get the most out of what you're try to do, but maybe practicing that much would be of use to you in the meantime. In any case, good luck with expanding your skill set!
What's really weird is that I'm fine with life drawing. It's really fun riding the train and drawing the people see; the sketches usually come out great too! When I try to draw people as cartoons though, they come out lifeless and dull, or default to that "8D" face I give 98.99% to my animals. So I figured maybe drawing human characters with set personalities would help. I do like that idea of copying cartoon/anime stills though! I remember drawing Inuyasha in my style some time ago and that was interesting. I'll do more of that, thank you! <3

Aaah that's so cool! For some reason I had no real desire to draw people when I was younger; I've never even had an anime phase. Haha I was much too happy having fun copying those How to Draw 50 Cats, Dogs, Horses, Animals, and Cartoons books.
I doooooo! That list was going to be longer, but then I realized that I liked those artists more for their color choices than human styles.
